My wife and coworkers all gave me shit today for breaking out the denim-on-denim. Jerks.
As a car guy I feel obligated to go Full Jay Leno from time to time especially on cool evenings, windows down, radio off, in sport mode.
Do you have a favorite piece of clothing you wear while out for a drive? Is that even a thing - fashionable cruising attire?
Can't believe we haven't seen a post titled "Five Pieces of Clothing Every Ferrari Owner Should Own." (Slacking DeMore-O!)
Also, we should organize a national #DenimDayforJay campaign to promote the love of automotive through Jay Leno's love of denim.

On a nice day/night, it's windows down while wearing athletic shorts, a broken in t-shirt, and my driving shoes.

I have a few pairs of Oakleys I wear, but I like these a lot. The puzzle pieces symbolize Autism Awareness (Thats also what the TACA (Talk About Curing Autism) on the inside is).

When I go off-roading, I wear an ExOfficio button down, Garmin watch and a LL-Bean stetson. Total poseur look, I know, haha. It's super comfortable, though.
My father does denim/denim sometimes, looks on point in the Mustang.
I once read denim on denim is making a comeback. Way to be on top of fashion, Juan!

My wife's nephew is autistic, and while she is an accountant by trade, she did her graduate degree in education with a focus on cognitive behavioral therapy.
Thanks for sharing the shades!

Comfy T-shirt, free sun glasses, and either barefoot or worn out converse.

ha! Automakers need to stop and realize, I'm an influencer, brand ambassador, guru, fashion ninja...ok, I've run out of cool trendy things to call myself. Too bad I'm too fat for skinny jeans or I'd be ubercool!

You're just cultivating mass. srs
Honestly, I don't even know what you look like, but based on your wrists, I don't think you're fat. Well that sounded odd.

I tend to wear my slippers if I'm going out particularly for the drive. I find the thinner soles give me better feel on the pedals. Lots of folks have recommended chucks as decent driving shoes for this reason, but my wife absolutely hates them so I've stuck with the slippers for now.

Confession: I dressed my kid in Duck Something camp overalls last weekend for a peep picking event. It was a farm where peeps are grown on small bushes and kids get to pick them.

Love Always Sunny. Yeah, I somehow managed to gain 17lbs while my wife was prego w kid 2. And at 32, weight doesn't come off like it did at 25.

That's the amount of weight (+10) I've gained in college...
I'm trying to get in better shape now, so I don't have to take it off later. It's hard. I like beer way too much.
I'm glad you got the reference, if not, I just realized I would look like a giant ass.

Someone bought my 6 month old a pair of Toms shoes. As if my baby needs to make a statement about saving the world.
My wife knocks most of my clothing. I'm used to it.

I tend to wear older shoes because they're broken in and more comfortable, plus I can feel the pedals better. Also, SRT 300, Charger or GC?

I have some old Vans that are good for heel-toe, my office shoes and work boots don't cut it.

This is why I had a denim shirt with Camo sleeves and shoulders.
Sadly it had to be retired this year..

To paraphrase an expression often heard around these parts, the answer is always Barbour. And nice sunglasses.
I'm also partial to long-sleeved T-shirts for in-between weather. That way, if you do open the roof or windows, you don't freeze.
In terms of footwear: In winter, I usually wear flat-heeled boots of some kind. In the summer, it's trail running shoes or driving mocs. (Sadly, boring black ones. Should I get some blue suede ones like Clarkson?)
I probably should note I'm a chick. Oh, and 20 years of manuals has made me hate driving in heels.
P.S. Even though I could usually give two craps about fashion, denim on denim is lame. Even my almost 70-year-old, SCCA and Chumpcar-racing, track-day instructing, certified car-guy dad doesn't do that. Sorry.
